Uaymitun 2014-Blog Post #1 “Back in Merida!”

Greetings to all from Uaymitun, MX!

Elaine and I are back at our winter beach house until early April and enjoying it immensely.

We arrived into Merida via Houston and Toronto early in the morning of Sunday, January 5th.  It would have been earlier, but our United flight from Houston to Merida was delayed 2-1/2 hours due to a missing 1st Office in the flight crew.

We had hoped to stay in the Luz en Yucatan, as per usual, but they were full, so we stayed at the Hotel MedioMundo just a few blocks away.  This short blog gives you a feel for this hotel…

  1. Looks like you guys are savoring the sun 🙂 It’s kind of cold here by the Persian Gulf less than 20 deg C. I guess my blood has gotten thinner.

    Enjoy!!

  2. wow!! some great shots bringing back some great memories!!

  3. You both look as though you are enjoying yourselves immensely! As I sit here and listen to the wind howling outside with whiteouts and cold temperatures, I think how fortunate you are to be staying in a sunny, warm part of our world. Your location is beautiful with all the bright colours and gracious surroundings. It seems you have made many friends with whom you reconnect annually. And lots of visitors coming and going! Lovely to get away from the day-to-day business of our normal lives. Still, there comes a time when home is always best! Thanks for sharing with your blog. All the best for the rest of your stay.
