Uaymitun 2012-Blog Post #3 “Hacienda Sotuta de Peon”

On Wednesday, we went down to Hacienda Sotuto de Peon… had a wonderful time visiting the Sisal portion of the hacienda and the cenote too.

The hacienda was very interesting and one could imagine how it would have been to live there. This first view is down the central hallway.

Would love to enjoy the view on this porch with some sour orange margaritas

Showing how the fibres were separated by hand!

A happy little hacienda donkey with bougainvillea flowering overhead

Nothing but 1st Class travel for us!

A view of the first cenote… only looking… no swimming… was very warm inside!

Finally… into the swimming cenote… Fabuloso!

Everyone into the pool!

Dining at the restaurant… conchinita pibil (pulled pork), lamb tostados, chicken cebules and more… Yumm!

Just about to have BBQ’d basa fish with achitoe paste for supper…
